We recently ran a pilot program with the Community School of Maryland, in Brookeville, MD.  We arranged for American guitarist and composer R. D. King to work with a group of students, chosen for their strong interest in music, and for whom the art form is emotionally and intellectually significant.  We thank Brian Tureck, M.Ed., Director of Education at the school, for his enthusiasm and help.  The pilot was heartwarming and exciting for all involved!

The Community School of Maryland was established in 1979 to provide community-based educational and school residential services to Maryland students with autism, who up to that time had been served out of State.  Today, the school serves students from the ages of six to twenty-one, twelve months of the year, and is an internationally-recognized leader in its field.
